Got Celery?!


Celery is a great food. It’s a source of fibre, potassium, sodium & even a bit of protein (almost 0.7 grams/ 100 grams). It is also a source of vitamins K, B 2, B6 & C. It’s low calorie and high fibre makes it a good weight loss food. If added to your food while cooking (especially the leaves) it gives your food a mild spicy taste and a pleasant aroma, especially with meats. Celery has been said to have some effects in reducing cholesterol, inflammation & blood pressure. Some people are allergic to celery, so always beware of your allergies. For every good food there is a good substitute.
